Legends has appointed Jim Scholefield as chief technology officer of the combined Legends and ASM Global business.
In his new role, Scholefield will lead the combined company’s technology strategy, innovation, and execution across all digital platforms and systems.
Scholefield’s career in technology leadership spans 35 years and includes roles at brands such as Nike and The Coca-Cola Company. Most recently, he served as global chief information and digital officer at Marriott International, where he led all aspects of global technology, digital engineering, and development.
CTS Eventim has appointed Thorsten Schäffler as its new chief product officer, effective 16 July 2025.
In his new role, Schäffler will be responsible for product management across all B2B and B2C products and will further develop the group’s overarching product strategy.

Eventim says a key focus for Schäffler will be the increased use of generative AI to provide promoter clients with even more precise data analysis and predictive models to support informed decision-making.
Fans, in turn, will benefit from an enhanced customer experience and further developed recommendation marketing, the company adds.
Oak View Group has appointed Simon Hanna as senior vice president of operations to oversee the delivery of OVG’s expanding portfolio.
He will work closely with Rebecca Kane Burton, EVP of venue management for OVG International and Michalis Fragkiadakis, VP of hospitality strategy for OVG International, to elevate fan experience, drive commercial performance, and lead innovation across the business, according to OVG.
Hanna brings over 15 years of strategic leadership experience in global hospitality, live events, and venue operations, most recently as chief operating officer at Freemans Event Partners.
He has helped to deliver large-scale operations for events such as the Paris Olympics 2024 and the Rome Ryder Cup 2023, as well as working on iconic venues including Wembley, Murrayfield, Cheltenham Racecourse and Lord’s.

The US’s National Independent Venue Association (NIVA) has named Audrey Fix Schaefer as board president, having previously served as the association’s VP and comms director.
Schaefer is the comms director for I.M.P. and its renowned venues in Washington, DC: 9:30 Club, The Anthem, Merriweather Post Pavilion, and Lincoln Theatre.
An announcement from NIVA notes that Schaefer will be “ushering in a new era of strategic, advocacy-driven communications leadership, amplifying the voices of independent venues and securing enduring policy wins”.
FIXR, the global ticketing and events platform, has appointed Martin Fitzgerald as a strategic adviser. Fitzgerald’s previous roles include MD of Eventim UK and COO of See Tickets.
